Barbette Remembered
Texas Historical Marker Ceremony
Please join The Barbette Legacy Foundation and Round Rock Pride for a special memorial ceremony honoring the life and legacy of Barbette.
Together, we will commemorate the installation of a new Texas Historical Marker at Barbette’s gravesite, recognizing their lasting impact on performance, identity, and LGBTQ+ history. All are welcome.
Following the ceremony, we invite you to join us at Swallow Wines for a social hour.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 39th Annual Commemorative Walk and Celebration
Please join us as we walk in the annual MLK parade. Please bring a water bottle and walking shoes.
The Round Rock Black History Organization in partnership with Round Rock ISD and the City of Round Rock invites the public to the 39th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Annual Commemorative Walk and Celebration. The event includes a march at 1:15 p.m., followed by a celebration and program at 2 p.m.
Dr. Anthony Watson, principal of Stony Point High School, will serve as keynote speaker.
The march begins at Eagles Nest Street, ending at Sweet Home Baptist Church. The public is invited to walk in the march. Banners are allowed.
